On Global Dilemmas

Abstract
Humanity has evolved a creative genius unique amongst the animals. Western Man has used it to create a world of his own design. He has been guided in this regard by his instincts. The universal nature of these instincts means that his world enjoys broad human appeal.

As Western Lifestyles have spread around the Globe, troubling side-effects have emerged. Weapons and means of pollution that have the potential to destroy the Earth’s capacity to sustain animal life have become an expanding universal threat. Cultures that resist Westernisation are being subjugated by political, financial and military means. Competition for limited resources could turn nasty.

Finding solutions to such dilemmas has become the most important task ever to face Mankind. To date, meaningful approaches to doing so have been blocked by powerful members of the World’s financial and political elites, whose wealth and power is increased by the spread of the primary cause of the dilemmas – Western lifestyles. These elites are too powerful to displace, so must be brought to recognise the seriousness of and to participate in the solving of the dilemmas if a succession of catastrophic global events is to be avoided.

A Web-based initiative is suggested that might provide a means of allowing effective solutions to the dilemmas to evolve.
